Acting and Writing

Writing
As a writer, Leah hopes to help bridge the gap of authentic disability representation in the media. Her original pilot has been officially selected in 5 festivals so far. She won 'Best TV Pilot' in the IMDb certified Carpe Diem Festival; as well as coming semi-finalist overall in the London International Screenwriting Competition.
Leah believes that disabled adults deserve to see themselves in beloved characters; disabled children deserve characters they can look up to; and the non-disabled world deserves to watch our stories in the way we want them to be told. She fights for everyone to see the value in disabled characters - especially wrapped up in a fun, exciting, and creative story about dynamic and unique situations.
Acting
I started performing in Musical Theatre at university, and fell in love with acting around the same time that I became disabled. Having never known one without the other, acting has truly become a facet of who I am as much as my disability is. I will always treasure every opportunity as an actor/performer, and love the unique bond I get to make with every character I play.
